It is always fun to learn about our clients' businesses. By their nature, are generally on the cutting edge of the industries in which they operate, and it is fascinating to get an inside view of what is coming next.
Representative Experience: Recently, I was involved in the sale of Stackdriver Inc., a provider of technology for the performance of cloud-based applications, to Google Inc. in May 2014. I was also involved with the sale of Veveo, Inc., a developer of predictive search and personalization technology for entertainment content, to Rovi Corporation in February 2014.
Launch Moment: I enjoy working on the transactions in which a company’s stakeholders are rewarded for their dedication to the business, typically a sale or an IPO. These can be life-changing events for the founders and the employees, but also very complex and demanding transactions. It is always impressive to see the way that small businesses can rise to meet these enormous challenges.
Favorite Books: Anything by Cormac McCarthy, Kurt Vonnegut or Michael Lewis.
Off the Clock: I love cooking and outdoor sports generally, particularly skiing. I look forward to getting my three-year-old twin boys on skis this winter.
