I love the energy and enthusiasm of entrepreneurs. They all want to change the world, or at least leave their mark on it, and many of them will.

Representative Experience: I regularly assist founders with onboarding cofounders and first employees, including structuring cash and equity compensation, vesting and forfeiture provisions and letters. I advise private companies on application of rules to setting and related valuation issues. I've evaluated and structured for numerous public and private companies, and I support numerous clients undergoing the IPO process to modify and adapt their cash and equity compensation programs and employment arrangements for life as a .

Launch Moment: In December 2012, shortly after the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, I had a call with Francisco Aguilar from Bounce Imaging. I learned that Bounce is developing low cost throwable cameras and sensors, intended to be used by first responders entering critical and hazardous situations. Francisco said that he hoped Bounce’s products would be able to assist and help protect responders to tragedies like the one at Sandy Hook. Now that is an amazing contribution to the world.

Favorite App: Right now it’s a toss-up between Spotify and NYT Cooking.

Daily Reads: I read (at least part of) The New York Times, The Boston Globe and The Wall Street Journal every day. Other daily reads are The Daily Tax Report, NYT Cooking blog with Sam Sifton and, during the winter, the snow report.

Favorite Books: Recent reads are An American Marriage, America for Beginners, and A Wretched and Precarious Situation. And I am now on the fifth book in The Game of Thrones series.

Off the Clock: I enjoy cooking, running, skiing, traveling, reading and the beach. I also like spending time with friends and my husband, two sons and our two golden retrievers.

Funny Story: I am a tax lawyer…do tax lawyers have funny stories?
