Helping passionate, brilliant people build something new—often out of little more than an idea—is incredibly rewarding.

Experience: I’m energized by working with clients across the full spectrum, from young founders raising to serial entrepreneurs preparing their companies to go public to large public companies as they acquire those same sorts of young companies (as well as acquiring many not so young companies). Working with companies across these lifecycles is often interesting and educational, and it’s fulfilling to bring those experiences and perspective to my clients.

Favorite App: Spotify, Overcast (Podcasts), and—though if I’m being honest—Twitter gets an awful lot of use.

Daily Reads: The New York Times, Matt Levine’s Bloomberg column, Axios’s Pro Rata Newsletter and whatever creeps into my various feeds…

Currently Reading: I recently finished Bad Blood by John Carreyrou, the Fifth Risk by Michael Lewis, and How Not to Be Wrong: The Power of Mathematical Thinking by Jordan Ellenberg (very enjoyable book, mediocre title).

Off the Clock: Nothing beats spending time with my wife and two young girls—my free time is composed of lots of soccer, legos, storytime, reading, exploring and basically just living in their world (not to mention maybe a little too much of the game known in our house as “let’s tackle dad”). With the little bit of residual time left over, I dabble in sports writing and I help with an annual family charity event held around the Kentucky Derby benefiting diabetes.
