A new technology is being developed that can really have an impact, particularly with my life sciences clients. Representative Experience: I focus on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on private and counseling; representation of , investment banks and investors in venture capital transactions and public offerings; mergers and acquisitions; public and private company spinoffs; and corporate collaborations and licensing transactions.

Launch Moment: In 2006, I was engaged by a venture capital firm to incorporate Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals, to issue the founders and draft consulting and employment agreements to be entered into with the founders, to license the technology that would form the of the company’s intellectual property from Harvard and to represent the company in a Series A financing with a number of venture firms. Then in 2013, I represented Tetraphase in its initial public offering.

Off the Clock: I spend my free time trying to understand the mind of the teenage boy—three teenage boys to be exact.
