On Thursday, March 10, WilmerHale will host a webinar to discuss the seismic changes to the European patent system. The new system will likely be implemented in 2017 and will impact global patent enforcement strategy. If they have not already done so, parties should prepare and think about important strategic decisions now.  From a European patent litigator's perspective, WilmerHale Partners Trevor Cook and Anthony Trenton will explore how the system will change, the new forum shopping strategies that will result, and how patent owners should approach decisions about opting out their European patents from the new system and whether or not to obtain the new unitary patent. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute questions online and interact with the panelists.
